The Dumuloc Small Reservoir Irrigation Project is envisioned as a storage scheme to store excess water during the wet season for use during the dry season supply of the existing Dumuloc River Irrigation System (RIS). The area that would be irrigated will increase to 1,232 hectares in the wet season and 990 hectares in the dry season for a cropping intensity of 180%. The impounding dam is designed as a zoned earth-fill with a maximum height of 40.00 meters. Appurtenant structures include ungated ogee-type spillway and diversion conduit designed with provision for potential hydropower in the future. The project was found technically feasible and economically viable with an economic internal rate of return of 12.00%. The project is environmentally sound and socially acceptable.
