EDCOP in partnership with Kyong-Ho Engineering and Architects, Co., Ltd., through the Department of Public Works and Highways under the World Bank – IBRD Loan No 9251-PH conducted a Market Outreach at Diamond Hotel, Manila for the Philippines Seismic Risk Reduction and Resilience Project last November 28, 2025.
The event aimed to:
- Share critical insights on mitigating seismic risks for “The Big One.”
- Highlight upcoming bidding opportunities for qualified contractors.
- Evaluate market capacity for large-scale retrofitting using innovative technologies.
- Optimize packaging strategies for civil works contracts.
- Gather actionable feedback to refine procurement and implementation.
EDCOP works to protect public schools and health facilities from “The Big One” through consultancy services on retrofitting assessment and design, and procurement of civil works and equipment.
