EDCOP‘s initial objective is to provide comprehensive and reliable range of planning and engineering services throughout the stages of the project development from project inception, construction management to post-project management and evaluation.
The firm started as consulting engineers for the power sector, providing a wide range of engineering and management services to the power supply industry. In power generation, EDCOP’s services range from feasibility studies to detailed design and project management of the entire statons.
In the transmission and distribution networks, EDCOP’s involvement includes the nation wide electrification projects in Catarman, Borongan, Calbayog Ciy, and Wright in Samar and in the islands of Ormoc, Hilongos, Tunga and Tacloban, Leyte and the Tablas Island in Romblon.
EDCOP was responsible for the preparation of construction drawing, construction supervision, commissioning and O&M training of personnel for the Southern Luzon EHV Transmission Line Project, a 245-km long double-circuit line with a design capacity of 500 KV covering the Quezon – Laguna provinces.
EDCOP is a recipient of various engineering excellence awards, notable which are the National Engineering Excellence Awards -96 presented to the Pulangi: IV HEP Project under the Water Resources Category and the National Engineering Excellence Award -97 presented to AGUS 1 Hydroelectric Project under the energy Production and Conservation Category. Both awards were given by the Council of Engineering Consultants of the Philippines (CECOPHIL); Federacion Internationale des Engenieurs – Conseils (FIDIC) and the Events and Awards Managers of Asia (TEAM ASIA).
